In today’s world, sustainable solutions are no longer an option but a necessity. At GreenKashi Bio Energy Pvt. Ltd., we have always believed in transforming waste into value—especially when it comes to scrap tires. Our journey took a major leap forward with the formation of an international alliance that has helped us expand our capabilities beyond India and into the United States. This partnership is embodied in our collaboration with Tire Shred Recovery (TSR), a U.S.-based entity directly tied to GreenKashi.

The Beginning of the Partnership

In mid-November 2023, GreenKashi Bio Energy welcomed a delegation of foreign investors to our plant in India. The team, led by Mr. Sammuel Michael Bruce, included Mr. Donald L. Bruce and Mr. David Lucas (UK citizen). Their visit was not just exploratory—it was the first step toward a significant investment in the future of sustainable tire recycling.

After carefully reviewing our operations and long-term vision, the group committed to an investment of $2 million USD to reinstate and scale the production of Recovered Carbon Black (rCB), Tire Oil, and Tire Wire at GreenKashi. By mid-April 2024, the investment was formally approved, marking the start of a new era of global collaboration.

Formation of Tire Shred Recovery (TSR)

With the investment finalized, the next strategic step was to create a platform in the U.S. that would ensure a steady flow of raw material—scrap tires—to our Indian operations. In May 2024, Tire Shred Recovery (TSR) was officially established in the United States.

GreenKashi Bio Energy now holds 20% equity in TSR, reinforcing our role as both a technology provider and strategic partner. The fundamentals of TSR are deeply connected to GreenKashi’s ability to process raw material consistently and efficiently, ensuring that every tire recycled contributes to a cleaner planet.

TSR’s Expansion in the U.S.

One of TSR’s flagship initiatives is the tire shredding project in Sellers, South Carolina, which is currently underway. The facility is scheduled to be operational by October 2025. Once live, this site will act as a major hub for collecting, shredding, and preparing scrap tires for further processing.

This project highlights the global vision shared by GreenKashi and TSR—to create a closed-loop system where waste tires are not discarded but are instead transformed into valuable resources like carbon black, tire oil, and clean steel wire.

Looking Ahead

Since the formation of TSR, we have come a long way in aligning our businesses under one umbrella. What started as a plant visit in India has evolved into a multi-continent collaboration bridging India and the United States. Together, we are building not only a profitable enterprise but also a sustainable model for the future of tire recycling.

The GreenKashi–TSR partnership stands as proof that when innovation meets international collaboration, the possibilities are limitless. With TSR feeding scrap tires to GreenKashi and with our proven expertise in advanced tire recovery processes, we are confident of creating long-term value for our investors, stakeholders, and the environment.
